On Monday we will be going to the School Board to turn in our Declaration of Intent to Homeschool and Friday will be my son’s last day of public school! We are very excited, and can’t believe it s already time! We’ve got all of our curriculum ready to go and we can’t wait!
I did have a meeting with the SLO on base, and while I know she has great intentions I don’t think she really understands where we are coming from. We really need a secular group in this area, but she insisted that the local christian homeschooling group was great! I’m sure they are, but I’m not sure how accepting they will be of us. lol So once we get into the groove of things I will ask again for her assistance in starting a secular group for the base.
Well that is my mini-update. I’m sure I’ll have tons to talk about once we start!!
